Executive Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer

As Executive Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer, Kam oversees the company’s financial, risk and investor relations activities.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Kam has extensive expertise in strategy, business development, finance and investor relations and has led the execution of over $20 billion in asset transactions. Kam joined Cenovus in 2013 and has held increasingly senior leadership roles in the company’s investor relations and acquisitions and divestitures portfolios. He has also served as Executive Vice-President, Strategy & Corporate Development and Senior Vice-President, Conventional. Prior to joining Cenovus, Kam spent nine years at Peters & Co. Limited, where he served as a Principal and oil and gas analyst, covering a wide array of Canadian, U.S. and international oil and gas companies.

Kam started his career at Deloitte where he focused on oil and gas audit and taxation. Kam is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary. He also serves on the Board of Headwater Exploration.
