Suffield Range Safety Calendar

The Suffield Range Safety Calendar (August 2010 and September 2010) is published for use by those oil and gas companies which have acquired P&NG rights on the CFB Suffield Range. The range calendar is produced monthly during the active military training period which extends from April to October annually. It should be consulted when planning daily access to the Suffield Range or for larger scale projects. However, it is only a guide and can change dramatically due to various circumstances. Anyone wishing to access the range while there are live fire exercises occurring must have in their possession a copy of the current calendar.

Note: Access to the range is strictly controlled and only authorized companies and their contractors who have signed the Surface Access Agreement and have attended the Suffield Industry Range Control (SIRC) safety orientation will be permitted access. Prior to the SIRC safety orientation, the information form should be printed and completed. The form must be submitted to SIRC staff on the day of the orientation. SIRC operates 24/7 for the control and co-ordination of access and the duty coordinator can be contacted at (403) 544-4485.

Cold Lake Air Weapons Range

Access to the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range (CLAWR) is strictly controlled and only authorized for company employees and contractors who are actively employed on the CLAWR. Additionally, all personnel must have successfully completed the CLAWR Range Control Safety and Orientation Briefing prior to being authorized access.

The documents listed below are to be used as described in the Safety and Orientation Briefing by all oil and gas personnel who access the CLAWR to conduct authorized activities. It is essential that all personnel review these documents when preparing daily safety meetings, planning work projects and prior to travelling off-road within the CLAWR.

The information contained in these documents is subject to change at any time and all personnel must download and review the latest information prior to commencing travel or activities on CLAWR.
